Who we are, where we are? A portrait is never only about the person in front of the camera. It is also about the place, and the relationship between the two.
Here We Are explores how our surroundings become part of our identity—how certain spaces reflect our experiences, and reveal something about who we are.
Through encounters with people across London, I photograph moments where individuals and places come together, creating a dialogue between human presence and the environment.
Photos with:
Odile at London Fields;
Else at Southbank Centre;
and Kat at Hackney Wick.
If you’re interested to take part in this portrait photography project, please send me a sentence or two about a building or place in London that means something to you, what you do or have done there, and why you chose it. I’ll select a number of stories that resonate with the project and are feasible to arrange.
