I’m Farhang Tahmasebi, Associate Professor in Engineering and Architectural Design, and a side-hustle photographer based in London. Farhang Photolog showcases my portrait and street photography, along with occasional reflections on photography and the people who inhabit my work.
Whether in the studio or on the street, under daylight or strobe light, people — their emotions, desires, and struggles — are central to my photography. I aim to make images that speak to our lives and preserve something of the significance of our encounters. I like to think my photographs bring me and my subjects a little closer, even when we come from vastly different worlds.
