I’m Farhang Tahmasebi, Associate Professor in Engineering and Architectural Design, and an enthusiastic photographer based in London. Farhang Photolog brings together my portrait and street photography, alongside occasional reflections on photography and the people who appear in my work.

Whether in the studio or on the street, under daylight or strobe light, people — their expressions, gestures, and lives realities — are central to my photography. I aim to make images that speak to our lives and preserve something of the significance of our encounters. I like to think my photographs bring me and my subjects a little closer, even when we come from vastly different worlds.
